Quilt Exhibition Categories

Welcome to the Official Guidelines for each of the 4 main categories of the 8th International Quilt Show, Dubai.

These categories were selected after learnings from our previous shows, and have been fully accepted by the organizing committee of the 2024 Show.

Quilt Show 2024 will comprise of 4 main categories

• 1. Traditional Quilts
• 2. Contemporary and Modern Quilts
• 3. Art Quilts
• 4. Beginner Quilts and Quilts by Young Quilters

Any Quilt that is entered into the show that does not fit into any of the four main categories, will be placed in EXHIBITION ONLY quilts. Quilts in EXHIBITION ONLY are not judged and will not be eligible to win prizes in the Quilt Competition.

We recommend you read through each category description, and if you have any questions, ask us so we can help you understand where to best categorize your Quilt!

Key Dates to Remember:

• Registration of Quilts for the Quilt Show begins in September 2023, and will close in the last week of January 2024.
• Quilts, once successfully registered, have to arrive in Dubai by the 1st week of February 2024, in time for judging and hanging of quilts in the Show.
